Whew, last night wiped me out. We ate, we danced, we laughed, Jace went on a sugar bender; it was a good night. I met a girl that'll be in my classes who's really cool. And I learned a very important lesson: never trust an innocent pixie when it comes to board games. The sweet ones are always the sharks.
Still figuring out public transportation. The buses are super confusing since they are apparently run by different companies. And they charge fare the way a taxi does rather than a standard charge. But I feel like Harry Potter every time I have to hail the bus to stop. Oh the things you'll learn.
A girls night with snacks and a movie was the perfect end to the night though. Even if we didn't even make it through half the movie. Oh well, there's always next time, right?
Have to run. Can't be late for my first day of class!
More details later.
Julie
Julienne, dear, I hope you aren't staying out too late. Cities get dangerous at night. Glad you're making friends though!
ReplyDeletePS. I'm still waiting for my phone call (a proper one. None of this two minutes and then you have to run)
We were in a group, Mom. I'm being safe. And I'll call, I promise. It's just really hectic these first few days
DeleteYou better not be making all these new friends and forgetting about me, Jules. Don't make me get on a plane and hunt you down. You know I'll do it.
ReplyDeleteI could never forget about you, Anj. And I know you would. We'll Skype this week okay?
DeleteIt is not my fault that you and Jace are clearly terrible at Monopoly. I like games :)
ReplyDeleteYou are a Monopoly shark, Ra. Us not playing with you again is for your own good. And the good of our dignity
DeleteHey, it was not a bender. I am perfectly in control of my sugar habits. I can stop anytime I want.
ReplyDeleteTell that to the fifteen empty Kit Kat wrappers strewn around your bed this morning
DeleteI plead the fifth. I know not of what you speak.
DeleteYou can't plead the fifth and then claim you have no clue what I'm talking about. The fifth is for when you know you've done something incriminating and refuse to talk about it. Lawyer'd.
DeleteShut up. You're in English major. You have no place in a court of law
